Acrobatic gymnastics is about working as part of a team to perform amazing balances & throws. You can either be part of a pair or a group and enjoy a lot of fun ways to develop your skills, strength & co-ordination. It highlights the performance in gymnastics by combining skills with dance/choreography and music. It’s a fantastic sport for anyone that loves to perform!

 

The best thing about getting into acrobatic gymnastics, is that you don’t need any experience to start, even the beginner can evolve to Elite, by going through the correct pathways, that's what most of our coaches did!

 

Everyone starts with learning the gymnastic basics and then moves on to developing skills such as somersaults & handstands, in teams of 2 or more. Here you will become part of a team with your partner(s) and you will grow in confidence together to improve skills and blossom into spectacular performers.

 

With Astrid, the aim is to encourage our acro gymnasts to compete at regional & national competitions. This is where you can perform in front of crowds and gain more experience as acrobats.
